I am now on my lunch break, on my first day of work as a developer at itiden! I have overcome my nerves, and I love it here. The office is fantastic, and it’s in the center of town. I have a great big shiny iMac to work with, and the staff are all really friendly.
My first project was to build a CMS website for a client in Stockholm. I’ve worked a great deal with WordPress, so I know my way around. The boss seemed particularly pleased at how quickly I managed to roll out a finished product. Success! If I can keep my colleagues impressed for two weeks, they’ll take me on full-time and I’ll have a real career!
I never would have thought it, but I’m genuinely very excited to come to work every day and learn more about software development. This week I’ll be focusing mostly on PHP and JavaScript. I’m playing with Objective-C too, because I’d love to develop apps for iOS.
Feels like home!
